CDC Pont Viau (Pont Viau Competency Development Centre) is a vocational training centre in Laval, Quebec, operating under the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board (SWLSB). It offers various English language professional training programs designed to lead directly to employment. CDC Pont Viau, the vocational training center of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, has been serving a diverse clientele for over 25 years. We offer a range of Ministry of Education programs in English, leading to careers in office automation, health care, construction and education. In addition, we offer skilled trades programs through our regional partnerships.
Our dedicated team of professionals is committed to providing you with the tools you need to succeed, whether you’re a recent high school graduate, an international student, a newly arrived immigrant looking to put down roots in Canada, a returning student or someone looking to make a career change. Our motto, “Learning to Earning”, is the guiding principle behind our daily efforts. We offer programs leading to a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS), an Attestation of Vocational Studies (AVS), a Skills Training Certificate (STC) and various continuing education courses.
We offer vocational training programs in Health, Technology, Administration, Building, and Public Works. These programs lead to a Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or an Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS) issued by the Québec Ministry of Education. The center is conveniently located near the Cartier metro station and provides dedicated support to international students, ensuring their success throughout their educational journey with a team of professionals and teachers. We offer a variety of singular programs with 1800 hours as well as combination programs totaling 1350 hours and more.
